T&T Call for Nominations

The Trampoline & Tumbling program is looking for nominations of Pro members to serve in the positions listed below. Please e-mail nominations to ktyler@usa-gymnastics.org, or fax to 806-637-9046, using the nomination form provided, by September 1, 2008. The criteria for nomination and duties of each position are listed per the Rules & Policies.

1. Program Committee Chair

    Nomination
    a. Nominated by the Nominating Committee.
    b. Criteria for Nomination:
    1. Must be a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, at least 21 years old, and in good standing for at least four (4) consecutive years prior to the nomination.
    2. Must be actively involved in the Program as a coach, judge or administrator
    Duties
      The duties of the TPC Chair, include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Organize and conduct the meetings and conference calls of the TPC.
    • Secure, correlate and disseminate agenda items for meetings and conference calls in advance of the meetings and calls.
    • Secure a meeting room, coordinate with USA Gymnastics on meeting times and advise the TPC of these arrangements in advance.
    • Play an active role in the various TPC sub-committees and coordinate their reports.
    • Provide leadership for a visible, viable relationship with USA Gymnastics, the TPC, and other related groups.

2. Elite Program Committee Chair

    Nomination
    1) Nominated by the Nominating Committee.
    2) Criteria for Nomination:
    1. Must be a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, at least 21 years old, and in good standing for at least four (4) consecutive years prior to the nomination.
    2. Must be actively involved in the Program as a coach, judge or administrator.
    3. Must have coached an athlete to World Championships.
    Duties
      The duties of the TEPC Chair, include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Organize and conduct the meetings and conference calls of the TEPC.
    • Secure, correlate and disseminate agenda items for meetings and conference calls in advance of the meetings and calls.
    • Secure a meeting room and coordinate with USA Gymnastics on meeting times and advise the TEPC of these arrangements in advance.
    • Play an active role in the various TEPC sub-committees, if any, and coordinate their reports.
    • Provide leadership for a visible, viable relationship with USA Gymnastics, the TPC, the TEPC and other related groups.

3. Regional Chair

    Requirements to hold the position of Regional Chair:
    • Must be a USA Gymnastics Professional Member
    • Must have previously served on a State or Regional Board or a State or Regional Committee
    • Must have been a Meet Director at a USAG-sanctioned competition within the last four years
    Responsibilities of the Regional Chair:
    1. Call and preside over the annual Regional Association meeting.
    2. Call and preside over all meetings of the Regional Board.
    3. Conduct the USA Gymnastics Regional Championship Meet and insure that all official rules and regulations are met. Send the meet results to the State Chairs in the region or post online.
    4. Conduct an annual Regional Clinic, notifying the Program Office. Plan the site and date of this clinic in cooperation with the Program Office. The specific content of the clinic shall correspond with the gymnastics priorities of the region: judging, compulsories, coaching techniques, etc.
    5. Oversee the naming of the Regional All-Star team and the sizing and distribution of uniforms for the team.
    6. Open and maintain the regional USA Gymnastics bank account. Be the principal financial officer of the Regional Association and be on the signature card for the regional checking and/or savings account(s).
    7. Submit an annual financial statement and budget to the Program Office.
    8. Be responsible for the promotional and public relations development of the trampoline and tumbling programs within the region.
    9. Maintain close contact with the State Chairs of the region, passing on all pertinent information and acting as liaison between the State Chairs and the Program Office. Provide leadership to the State Chairs and advise on administrative questions.
    10. Oversee the responsibilities of each position on the Regional Board.
    11. Provide information to the Regional Board on sites for Regional Championships. Upon approval by the Regional Board, contract the necessary facilities, vendors and services to run the Regional Championships. Serve as Meet Director for Regional Championships.
