USA compete in Holon Grand Prix and Tournament

HOLON, Israel, May 28, 2018 -- Camilla Feeley of Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, finished eighth in the Grand Prix hoop finals at the Holon (Israel) Grand Prix and Tournament, held May 15-16, 2018. Eliza Cohen of Los Angeles/California Rhythms, and Elizabeth Kapitonova of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, finished in the top eight in the senior and junior all-around, respectively, in the Tournament.

In the Grand Prix, Feeley was 11th in the all-around finals with at 62.500. Russia swept the podium. Arina Averina won the all-around with her 76.700. Teammates Aleksandra Soldatova (75.750) and Ekaterina Selezneva (72.050) took second and third, respectively. In the clubs final, Feeley scored a 16.600 for eighth. Salome Pazhava of Georgia claimed the title at 18.600. Vlada Nikolchenka of the Ukraine was not far behind with an 18.450 for second. Selezneva finished on Pazhava’s heels at 18.350 for third. The remaining event champions were: hoop – Averina, 19.750; ball – Katsiaryna Halkina of Belarus, 19.200; ribbon – Milena Baldassarri of Italy, 16.950.

In the Tournament, Cohen claimed seventh in the senior all-around (154.150). the top three in the all-around were: Alexandra Agiurgiuculese, Italy, 66.300; Yuljya Isachanka, Belarus, 65.000; and Arina Romanova, Russia, 59.300. Kapitanova’s 56.300 landed her in sixth place in the junior all-around. Lennox Hopkins Wilkins of Puyallup, Wash./Evergreen Rhythmics, tallied a 51.700 for 14th, and Helena Pavlovcic of Los Angeles/California Rhythms, earned a 44.500 for 25th. The Ukraine’s Khystyna Pohranychna won the title (65.950), followed by Israel’s Valeriia Sotskova (64.250) and Noga Block (60.900) in second and third, respectively.

The USA was fifth (108.000) in the team competition, which was won by Russia (134.800). Ukraine was second with a 125.400 and Israel placed third (125.150).
