GAINESVILLE, Fla. – This is a trend the Gator gymnastics team wants to break. Top-ranked Louisiana State edged Florida 197.25 – 197.125 in front of a sellout crowd of 9,661 Friday evening at the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team dropped its home-opener to Central Michigan, 194.525-194.025, Saturday, Jan. 13, inside the Convocation Center.

#5 Michigan 197.550, Ohio State 194.925 - Jan. 13, 2018
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 5 Michigan women's gymnastics team set out to raise awareness for individuals with developmental disabilities on Saturday (Jan. 13) at Crisler Center and in the process they put the nation on notice and raised awareness for this year's team with a national-best score of 197.550 to beat Ohio State.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Redshirt freshman Sarah Shaffer posted a 39.325 in the all-around, including a 9.875 on vault, as No. 11 Arkansas fell to No. 6 Kentucky 196.950-196.525 inside Barnhill Arena.

#8 Denver 196.800, Air Force 191.750 - Jan. 14, 2018
DENVER -- In front of the largest home crowd in program history, the No. 8-ranked University of Denver women's gymnastics team, presented by your hometown Toyota stores, posted a 196.800 in the team's home opener on Sunday. DU topped the visiting Air Force Falcons, who scored 191.750.

#9 Alabama 196.525, Georgia 194.525 - Jan. 12, 2018
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 9-ranked Alabama gymnastics team defeated Georgia, 196.525-194.525, Friday night in its home and Southeastern Conference opener in front of 12,081 fans in Coleman Coliseum on a frigid night in Tuscaloosa.

#12 Iowa State 195.450, #10 Arizona 194.975 - Jan. 12, 2018
AMES, Iowa – No. 12 Iowa State improved to 4-0 on the season with a 195.450-194.975 victory over No. 10 Arizona Friday night at Hilton Coliseum. This is the second week in a row that Iowa State has beaten a ranked opponent, after taking down a pair last weekend.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Despite improving on its season-opening score by 1.45 points, the No. 16-ranked West Virginia University gymnastics team came up just short in a tight battle with No. 14 Arizona State this afternoon, falling 196.475-195.875 at the WVU Coliseum.

WASHINGTON -- The No. 25 George Washington gymnastics team captured its sixth consecutive title at the 11th Annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational on Sunday afternoon behind strong team performances on all four events. The Colonials finished first in each event while also capturing every individual title to propel them to victory in their home opener.

DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore Ava Watkins (Cherry Hill, N.J.) won the floor exercise with a score of 9.825 in her first collegiate floor performance as the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team was defeated by Bridgeport (192.950-191.750) at Lundholm Gym on Saturday, Jan. 13.

MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota women's gymnastics team began the competitive season with a quad-meet victory, posting a final score of 194.200 to edge out Maryland, Northern Illinois and Winona State.

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The 11th-ranked Air Force men’s gymnastics team opened the 2018 season with a fourth-place finish at its annual Rocky Mountain Open on Saturday, Jan. 13. Senior Fletcher Braunton paced the Falcons with a runner-up finish on the still rings – one of 12 top-10 placements for the squad.

CHICAGO -- The UIC men's gymnastics team hosted the 48th annual Windy City Invitational Saturday night at Navy Pier. Competing on the site where the program was founded in 1947, the Flames finished fourth in the four-team field that included repeat champion Illinois, Minnesota, and Iowa.

West Point Open: Team/All-Around Finals | Event Finals - Jan. 12-13, 2018
WEST POINT, N.Y. – In fourth place after four events, the Army West Point Gymnastics pulled ahead of William & Mary 318.45-316.00 in the fifth event and held on in the final events to place third (380.35-395.06) at the 27th Annual West Point Open Friday evening at Christl Arena.
