2016 Olympian Laura Zeng will be a guest at the upcoming Rhythmic Open Camp! Laura is currently ranked 6th in the World – the highest ever for a USA Rhythmic gymnast – following the historic 2017 World Championships. She is a true role model for gymnasts of all ages, exemplifying character, hard work, and excellence both academically and in sport.

The Rhythmic Program is also excited to announce additional coach educational opportunities at the 2017 Open Camp, including:
  • Rhythmic Xcel & HUGS – Beyond the Basics, by Cindy Bickman
    • Cindy will share her passion and expertise in the Xcel and HUGS programs, guiding coaches in how to construct Xcel & HUGS routines and how to promote and grow an Xcel or HUGS program.
  • Body Preparation for Strength, Balance, Flexibility, and Gracefulness, by Galina Burns
    • This detailed lecture by Galina was a huge success at the 2017 National Congress with 130 attendees from across all disciplines! Galina presents methods for coaches to develop strength, balance, and flexibility from a scientific perspective combining her background in physical therapy and rhythmic gymnastics. She also gives attention to methods for teaching correct body wave technique.
  • Coach Ballet with Sonya Yankova
  • Artistic Execution Insight from a Judging Perspective, presented by Jayme Vincent
