Generalova advances to clubs final at Tashkent World Cup

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 22, 2017 - Nastasya Generalova of Los Angeles, Calif./California Rhythms, finished 10th in the all-around and qualified to the clubs final at the Tashkent World Cup, which is part of the International Gymnastics Federation's World Cup series. The USA’s Brigita Budginas of Agoura Hills, Calif./California Rhythms, also competed, finishing 22nd in the all-around. The World Cup wraps up on Sunday with the event finals.

In the all-around competition, Generalova totaled a 63.350 for tenth. She qualified sixth into the clubs final with her score of 16.550. Generalova’s other event scores were: 15.800, hoop; 16.000, ball; and 15.000, ribbon. Russia’s Dina Averina placed first with a 71.700, followed by teammate Arina Averina (70.900). Anastasiya Serdyukova of Belarus earned the bronze at 67.750.

Budginas earned a 55.200 in the all-around, after scores of 15.100, hoop; 13.900, ball; 13.450, clubs; and 12.750, ribbon.
