Nuno Merino named as National Trampoline Team Head Coach

Nuno Merino, with The Matrix Gym in Huntsville, Ala., has been named the National Trampoline Team Lead Coach. This position is responsible for creation of the training and competition plans for the Trampoline National Team program. This individual, communicating with National Team athletes and their coaches, will set training goals and expectation for various camps. This individual will also work with the Program Director and High Performance Coordinator in developing the following:

  • Annual and quadrennial goals for the program
  • International event selection and athlete assignment
  • Training camp schedules, goals, staffing and objectives
  • Communication to National Team athletes and coaches that include maintaining bi-weekly updates to ensure progress is being made
  • Act as the head coach for all international assignments.
  • Reports to Program Director
