INDIANAPOLIS, April 20, 2016 – USA Gymnastics’ Men’s Program will introduce its 2016-20 Men’s Junior Olympic Competition Program, including the new programs and routines, through five national USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Competition Program Workshops.
The workshops will cover all aspects of the 2016-20 Men’s Junior Olympic Competition Program, including compulsory routines, technical sequences and optional level rules. The 2016-20 National Team Program, including Future Stars, Junior National and Junior Elite facets, will also be covered at the workshop. Special presentations on other aspects of training and athlete development are also available at Congress.
The workshops are scheduled for: May 8-9, Battle Creek, Mich. – McCamly Plaza Hotel (registration deadline, April 22); June 4-5, Hartford, Conn. – Hilton (registration deadline, May 20); June 11-12 – Roswell, Ga. – Roswell Gymnastics (registration deadline, May 24); June 18-19, Dallas, Texas – Double Tree by Hilton (registration deadline, June 10); and July 8-10, San Jose, Calif. – McEnery Convention Center (registration deadline, June 24).
Each workshop from May through June is $260 per person if registration is submitted online prior to the respective deadline. Participants also may register for a workshop onsite for $285.
The Junior Olympic Competition Workshop in San Jose is offered as part of the USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show; however, the Junior Olympic Competition Program materials are not included in the Congress registration fee and will be available in San Jose for the discounted price of $35. To take advantage of the Congress offer, an individual must register for Congress and then register for the Men’s Junior Olympic Competition Program Workshop. Individuals who have already registered for Congress should go into the system to register for the workshop, as well as purchase the 2016-2020 Age Group Competition Program materials. Pre-registration for Congress is $240 for professional members ($350 for non members) and must be completed by June 10.
