USA collects five medals at TT's Canada Cup

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia, Canada, March 21, 2016 – Led by gold medals in men’s tumbling and double mini-trampoline from Austin Nacey of Braidwood, Ill./TwistStars Tumbling and Trampoline, the United States won five medals this weekend at the Canada Cup in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

In men’s tumbling, Nacey posted a 143.300 four-pass total. He posted matching 35.600 scores for both of his qualification passes. In the finals, he earned scores of 36.300 and 35.800 to take the gold medal. The USA’s Brandon Krzynefski of Centerville, Va./Capital Gymnastics, was second with a 134.300 total. Canada’s Jon Schwaiger was third, posting 134.000

Nacey picked up another gold medal in double-mini with a score of 146.600. His individual pass scores were: 36.800, qualifications (pass one); 37.500, qualifications (pass two); 37.400, finals (pass one); and 34.900, finals (pass two). Schaiger was second at 145.000. Casey Chandler of Reno, Nev./High Sierra Gymnastics, took the bronze with a 144.100 total.

Paige Howard of Mission Viejo, Calif./World Elite Gymnastics, won the silver medal in women’s double-mini. She earned a 135.400 total, just behind Canada’s Tamara O’Brien, who scored 137.200 for gold. Adren Oh of Canada won the bronze (129.700).
