Budignas, Lowenstein, Lu find success at recent international tournaments

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., June 16, 2014 — U.S. Rhythmic National Team members Brigita Budginas of Agoura Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics, Gabrielle Lowenstein of Huntington Beach, Calif./Eurogymnastics, and Serena Lu of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, enjoyed international success over the last couple of months, bringing home five medals from three tournaments.

Budginas competed in two international tournaments, winning two medals in the process. At the 2014 AmsterdaMMasters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, she won the silver medal in the junior all-around with a score of 56.200. She also tied for the bronze medal in ball at the 2014 Kalamata (Greece) Cup.

Lowenstein finished third in both ball (15.700) and clubs (15.400) at the AmsterdaMMasters. Heather Chan of South Pasadena, Calif./Platinum Gymnastics Academy, just missed a medal in ball, finishing in fourth with 15.450.

Lu traveled to Bucarest, Romania for the 2014 Irina Deleanu Cup, where she earned two senior bronze medals, ball (15.350, tie) and clubs (16.200).
