USA's group advances to clubs final at 2014 GAZPROM World Cup

STUTTGART, Germany, March 22, 2014 – The USA's group qualified to the 10 clubs final at the 2014 GAZPROM World Cup, held at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany. The event, which is part of the International Gymnastics Federation's World Cup series, wraps up on Sunday, March 23, with the individual and group event finals at 12 p.m. local time, followed by a gala at 4 p.m.

The members of the senior group, which finished ninth in the all-around, are: Sharon Dassouli, Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center; Kiana Eide, St. Francis, Minn./Twin Cities Rhythmic; Alisa Kano, New York, N.Y./Isadora; Natalie McGiffert, Los Angeles, Calif./Platinum Gymnastics Academy; Jennifer Rokhman, Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center; and Monica Rokhman, Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center. The group's eighth-place finish in the 10 clubs qualified them to the event's final. The squad just missed advancing to the three balls/two ribbons final with their ninth-place finish.

In the individual competition, Jasmine Kerber of Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, was 18th in the all-around, posting a four-event total of 64.149. Teammate Rebecca Sereda of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, was forced to withdraw due to illness.

Russia's Yana Kudryavtseva won the all-around title, and the Russian group took the top spot in the group all-around.
