Three U.S. men ready to compete at Cottbus World Cup

COTTBUS, Germany, March 12, 2014 Acaa Three U.S. men, led by recent Winter Cup all-around champion Chris Brooks of Houston/Team Hilton HHonors (Cypress), will compete at the Cottbus World Cup. The event is an International Gymnastics Federation World Challenge Cup event and begins tomorrow in Cottbus, Germany. Joining Brooks are 2013 World still rings bronze medalist Brandon Wynn of Voorhees, N.J./Team Hilton HHonors (U.S. Olympic Training Center), and Josh Dixon of Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Olympic Training Center.

Competition begins Thursday, March 13, with the first day of qualification, which will feature the men's floor exercise, pommel horse and still rings. Qualification concludes on Friday with the remaining men's events, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. The finals are spread over two days and are scheduled for March 15-16.

Brooks will compete three events (floor, parallel bars and high bar), while Wynn (still rings and parallel bars) and Dixon (floor and high bar) will compete two each.
