Benck has served on the Ethics, Grievance and Safe Sport Committee for USA Gymnastics. He also is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and International Centre for Dispute Resolution. He also is an AAA arbitrator in commercial, employment and sport disputes.

Benck's current and past experience also includes: adjunct law professor at the Cumberland School of Law; member of the Norton Board of Advisors for Birmingham-Southern College; member of the Board of Directors for both the Business Council of Alabama and the Bryant-Jordan Scholarship Award; legal counsel for the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame; and is listed as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the U.S. Council for International Business, and the London Court of International Arbitration Arbitrator Databases.
He graduated from Birmingham-Southern College, with a Bachelor of Arts in economics, earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law.
