In the senior mixed pairs, Ward and Boynton earned a 30.425 for their combined routine, just .025 behind the champions from Britain's Heathrow Gymnastics Club.
In addition, the age-group field has eight groups from the United States (six women's groups and two mixed pairs). The event's field includes more than 260 gymnasts from Australia, Belgium, France, Russia and the United States and includes competition for the both senior and 13-19 year-old age group levels. The Pat Wade Classic is named in honor of the late Professor Patricia Wade, MBE, who was one of the founding members of acrobatic gymnastics and chaired the International Gymnastics Federation's Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee from 2000-08.
