Ludvigson is recovering from surgery

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 7, 2013 – Kalon Ludvigson of Pocatello, Idaho/Team Revolution, was injured at the conclusion of a training session in Danville, Pa. Ludvigson, who holds eight U.S. tumbling titles and three World Cup gold medals, is recovering from surgery.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Kalon for a strong recovery," said Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics. "His determination and competitive spirit will be valuable assets to him during this time."

At this time, USA Gymnastics does not have any additional information regarding Ludvigson's status. He was injured performing a skill at the end of his pass.

"Thanks to all for their concern," Justen Millerbernd, Ludvigson's coach, posted on Facebook. "Surgery has been performed and now it is a waiting game."

Millerbernd has asked those who would like to show their support or send get well and stay strong messages to Ludvigson's Facebook page.
