USA Gymnastics announces field for 2013 American Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, July 1, 2013 – 2011 Pan American Games team gold-medalist Grace McLaughlin of Allen, Texas/WOGA, leads the senior field set to compete at the 2013 American Classic at the USA Gymnastics National Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, a U.S. Olympic Training Site. The event, which serves as one of two qualifiers in July for the 2013 P&G Gymnastics Championships, will be held July 6.

Joining McLaughin in the senior field are

Additional athletes may be added to the roster following the conclusion of National Qualifier at the Karolyi Ranch, scheduled for July 4-5, where athletes have the opportunity to earn international elite status and become eligible to compete at the American Classic.

On July 27, the Secret U.S. Classic will be held at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The Secret U.S. Classic is the final women's qualifying event for the 2013 P&G Gymnastics Championships, USA Gymnastics' national championships, scheduled for Aug. 15-18 in Hartford, Conn.
