HUNTSVILLE, Texas, May 22, 2013 Acaa Sixty TOPs gymnasts from around the United States gathered at USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site. The camp was led under the direction of 1988 Olympic gold medalist Valeri Liukin and Tom Forster.

The athletes participated in TOPs Physical Abilities testing on the first night of training. The top performers in each age group were: Carley Beeman of TIGAR, 10 year olds; Emily Owens of Aerial Athletics, 9 year olds; and Emma Boyd of Head Over Heels Acaa Alabama Starz, 8 year olds.

The National Coaching staff directed both gymnasts and coaches in training and lectures. Ten-time Word medalist and 2008 Olympic silver-medalist Alicia Sacramone joined the coaching ranks with National Staff members Tammy Biggs, Antonia Markova, Luminita Garcy, Neil Resnick and Dan Baker along with Liukin and Forester.

The TOPs program kicks off next month with State Skill testing, as athletes try to earn a spot at National TOPs testing in October. At National TOPs Testing, athletes will be selected for the TOPs A National Team and TOPs B Team and will attend training camps at The Ranch in December.
