For the first time in NCATA history, three teams finished tied for an event. In the twisting pyramid, Quinnipiac, Oregon and Azusa Pacific each posted a score of 9.85 and shared the title of the second heat. The Bobcats made it two straight, when the squad scored a 9.90 in the release pyramid and shared the title with Oregon who posted the same score.

The team portion of the competition begins on Friday, April 26. The two-time defending champion Oregon Ducks will face the winner of the tournament's first meet which pits No. 4 Baylor and No. 5 Fairmont State. The No. 2 seed is host team Quinnipiac which went 4-2 in the regular season. The Bobcats will take on No. 3 seed Azusa Pacific in the first semifinal scheduled for 5 p.m. (ET) on Friday.
The title will be determined on Saturday when the semifinal winners pair up at 12 p.m. (ET).
