The United States Olympic Committee today announced its annual award recipients for 2016 national coaches of the year. Aimee Boorman, coach of Simone Biles, was named Co-National Coach of the Year, and Kim Zmeskal-Burdette, coach of Ragan Smith, was recognized as Developmental Coach of the Year.
The National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) has announced that Urbana (Ohio) University and East Texas Baptist University (Marshall, Texas) become the 19th and 20th institutions to join the acrobatics & tumbling footprint.
2016 Olympians Nicole Ahsinger and Logan Dooley headline the field of more than 900 trampoline and tumbling gymnasts who are competing at the 2017 USA Gymnastics Championships, scheduled for June 27-July 2, at the BMO Harris Bradley Center and Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee.
For the first time, the 2017 USA Gymnastics for All National Championships and GymFest will be hosted by the USA Wheel Gymnastics Federation (USAWGF) and held in conjunction with USA Wheel Gymnastics’ own National Championships and series of workshops.
