Simone Biles closed out her incredible World Gymnastics Championships atop the floor podium with a gold medal and a new exploit: a total of 25 world medals, breaking a record she herself set earlier in the day.
Simone Biles won two gold medals on the second day of event finals at the 2019 World Championships, giving her 25 World medals, the most in gymnastics history, male or female. Sunisa Lee scored a silver medal on floor exercise on the final day of Worlds.
Being alternate to a world team is an important job, one that comes with special tasks inside the gym and during the competition. As 2019 World Team alternates MyKayla Skinner and Allan Bower can testify, the experience is motivating, but not easy.
