Faces In The Gym - May 2012

Jazlyn Wood & Thais Olvera, both 9, from Riverside, CA., placed 4th & 8th respectively in the all-around at the All Olympia Spring Invite in Los Angeles, CA. Both are Level 4 gymnasts (soon-to-be Level 5) & are coached by Carolyn Breton at Gymnastique International.

Stick It! Gymnastics members coached by Luis Fiallos and Jennifer Lipschultz all won individual all-around state titles this season. Grace Bittner (11) won 1st place AA Level 6 with a 36.275, Annabelle Miller (10) won 3rd place AA Level 6 with a 35.500, Gabrielle Sasson (8) won 1st place AA Level 4 Junior with a 37.375, and Love Birt (6) won 1st place AA Level 4 Child with 35.825.

The 2012 Level 7 team from Capital Gymnastics in Cedar Park, Texas, took home first place at every competition they participated in including the State Championships. Team members include Ava Williams, Avery Tyson, Baylee Floyd, Blake Nordstrom-Wehner, Cindy Wang, Grace Smith, Gracen Bunch, Lannie Allen, Lexi Cripps, Maddie Douthit, Maya Bordas, Mckinlee Hill, Neve Johnson, Sherry Wang, and Taylor Rennie. They also brought home from the state competition seven vault champions, two uneven bar champions, four balance beam champions, and seven floor exercise champions. All their hard work and perseverance paid off. Great Job Girls!!!

Lacie Hoang trains at Eastside Gymnastics Academy in Woodinville, WA as a Level 6 gymnast. Lacie started competitive gymnastics a year ago. Lacie's best event is beam. Her highest score is a 9.5 when she placed first in the all-around.

Chloe Mckellar, 8, placed first on uneven bars and floor exercise, second on balance beam and vault and first in the all-around with a 38.05 in the S.C State meet. She practices at Olympia Gymnastics in Surfside Beach, S.C.
