Gymnast of the Week awards are given by conference offices and the College Gymnastics Association.

NCAA Rookie of the Week
Khoi Young - Stanford
Freshman Khoi Young has been named CGA Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season after winning the pommel horse and vault event titles in a meet vs. California last weekend. Young, who ranks No. 1 nationally and third overall on pommel horse, turned in a 14.900 on vault and a 14.550 on pommels to secure the event titles.

Gymnast of the Week
Paul Juda - Michigan
  • Earned three event wins to help Michigan rally for a road win at conference foe Illinois on Sunday
  • Picked up victories on vault (14.85), high bar (14.45) and all-around (85.000)
  • Helped the Wolverines move into a tie for first place in the Big Ten standings
  • Collects his fifth career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award
Freshman of the Week
Chris Hiser - Nebraska
  • Posted a career-high score of 14.25 on the floor to finish fourth in Nebraska's triangular meet win at Air Force and against Army West Point
  • Contributed to the Huskers' highest team score of the season (410.500)
  • Earns his third consecutive Freshman of the Week award

Gymnast of the Week
Aidan Cuy – William & Mary
Junior Aidan Cuy highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by winning parallel bars with a 13.45. Heled the Tribe on floor with a 13.0 and he earned the Tribe's top score on vault with a 13.95. Cuy posted the meet's top score in all-around at 76.75.

Specialist of the Week
Franco Peirano – Army
Peirano had the best competition of his collegiate career over the weekend against Air Force and #3 Nebraska. Franco led Army West Point on vault with a career and season-high 14.6 and his stuck vault gave him not only the top score on the event in the ECAC over the weekend, but also the highest score on vault in the ECAC this season. Peirano also scored a career and season-high 13.7 on floor exercise.

Rookie of the Week
Steve Manolakis – Army
Manolakis had a stellar performance for the Black Knights this past weekend against Air Force and #3 Nebraska. Steve led Army West Point on floor exercise with a career and season-high 14.25. This score not only was the top score on the event in the ECAC over the weekend, but also the second-highest score on floor exercise in the ECAC this season. Manolakis also competed on parallel bars and vault and had his second-highest score on vault this season with a 14.0.

Fuzzy Benas - Oklahoma
Oklahoma freshman Fuzzy Benas (Richmond, TX) won the all-around with a score of 81.650 in the Sooners' 408.400-399.050 win over No. 6 Ohio State (Mar. 12). Benas started the night with a 13.000 on floor and a 13.100 on pommel horse. He earned the Sooners' highest score on still rings with a 13.600 and came up big on vault with a 14.450. He finished off the Sooners' rotation on parallel bars by earning a 13.750. Benas tallied a career-high 13.750 on high bar to help the Sooners earn a season-high 69.400 team score. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Benas, first earning it following his collegiate debut (Jan. 18).
