Athlete of the Week
Jessica Rubbo - Limestone
Jessica Rubbo competed in nine heats and team event as Limestone picked up a Conference Carolina victory over Lander University last week. The junior base from Lexington, S.C., helped Limestone to a pair of 10.0 scores in the compulsory toss and six-element acro heats. She also helped the Saints score a pair of 9.95 scores in the acro seven-element and open pyramid heats from her base position. In here nine total heats, Limestone scored a 9.50 or higher seven times during the meet. Limestone also set a new program record with a final meet score of 269.955 in the win.

Specialist of the Week
Deanna Blood - Davis & Elkins
Deanna Blood was impressive in the tumbling event as Davis & Elkins opened Mountain East Conference competition against Glenville State last week. Blood, a senior from Sarasota, Fla., helped D&E to an 8.55 out of a possible 9.10 in the duo tumbling pass, before returning later in the event to score a 9.65 out of a possible 9.85 in her individual tumbling pass, the aerial.

Freshman of the Week
Bayley Humphrey - Baylor
Bayley Humphrey, a base and tumbler from Chandler, Ariz., competed in seven heats and team event during her debut meet at Baylor last week. Her performance was highlighted by serving as a base for a pair of 9.95 scores for Baylor, including the compulsory toss and open pyramid heats. She also helped Baylor to a 9.75 in the inversion pyramid. In team event, Humphrey served as a mid-level base in the pyramid segment, a back base for a pair of tosses, and also contributed with standing and running tumbling passes.

Athlete of the Week
Angela Perez - Glenville State
Perez, a red-shirt freshman from Liam, Peru, helped the Lady Pioneers to its first win of the season last week, a 252.600-235.030 win over Davis & Elkins. She completed in 11 different heats for the Pioneers posting over 9.50 in three heats. As a top/tumbler, she was able to GSC post a 9.750 in the compulsory acro and a 9.500 in compulsory pyramid. She also helper her team score a 88.650 in the team event.

Athlete of the Week
Sierra Bombard - Limestone
The junior from Lebanon, Tennesseee helped notch a perfect 10 in the 6-element acro heat as the Saints registered a combined 29.10 points in the acro event, which is the second-highest for the team on record. She also played a major role in setting a new program-high in the team event with a score of 94.78.
