NCAA Rookie and Specialist of the Week
Donte McKinney - Minnesota
McKinney was named the CGA Rookie of the Week and Specialist of the Week after winning the third vault title of his young career at Michigan. He scored a 14.950 on the event, the highest mark of any freshman this season and the second-best score in the NCAA.

Big Ten Conference

Gymnast of the Week
Shane Wiskus - Minnesota
  • Captured the all-around, still rings and parallel bars titles in a dual meet at Michigan
  • Won the all-around with a score of 82.300, set a career-high with on the rings (14.450) and captured the parallel bars with a 14.600 tally
  • Set a season-high 14.550 score on the vault, placing third place.
  • Claims his eighth career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honor and fourth this season
Freshman of the Week
Justin Ah Chow - Ohio State
  • Won the parallel bars in helping Ohio State defeat Navy last weekend
  • Claimed the parallel bars title with a 14.100 score
  • Earned third place on the high bar with a 13.650 total
  • Garners his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week award



Eastern College Athletic Conference

Gymnast of the Week
Mathew Davis – Army
Davis won the all-around, floor, and parallel bars, leading the team to a 395.950-385.100 win over Air Force. His 14.5 on floor and 14.45 on parallel bars were a career-high. After his performance on Saturday, Davis has set career-highs on four of the six events this season with just still rings and vault remaining.

Specialist of the Week
Rex Scott – Army
Scott won vault with a 14.3 and horizontal bar with a 13.6, helping the team to a 395.950-385.100 win over Air Force. He scored a career-high 14.3 on vault, besting his previous high of 13.800 by a sizable .500.

Rookie of the Week
Connor Van Loo – Navy
Loo finished runner-up by 0.05 points on the vault on Saturday in Navy's meet at Ohio State with a score of 14.65. He began the day with a 13.80-point score on the floor exercise to finish sixth overall.

Gymnast of the Week
Caleb Rickard - California
California sophomore Caleb Rickard (Chino Hills, CA) posted two career-highs, 14.250 on vault and 13.200 on floor, in the International Collegiate Open at Stanford (Feb. 29). Rickard’s vault score contributed to an all-time school record total in the event, as the Bears compiled 71.650 to shatter the old standard by one-half point. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Rickard, while he is Cal’s first recipient of 2020.
