Gymnast of the Week awards are given by conference offices. More will be added throughout the week as they become available.

National

NCAA Specialist of the Week
Trevor Cummings - Ohio State
Placed first on pommel horse at the Southwest Cup in Tempe, Ariz.
Club Gymnast of the Week
Kiwan Watts - Arizona State



Big Ten Conference

Gymnast of the Week
Evan Davis - Iowa
  • Won the all-around title in a dual meet with No. 1 Oklahoma last weekend
  • Captured the all-around versus the Sooners with a score of 81.950
  • Had a second place finish on the still rings (13.600), and third place finishes on the floor (14.200) and parallel bars (13.800)
  • Collects his first career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week accolade
Freshman of the Week
Paul Juda - Michigan
  • Won three events, setting personal highs in all three, in helping Michigan defeat Illinois-Chicago and Northern Illinois last weekend
  • Claimed the floor title with a 14.200 score, the vault crown with a 14.450 and first on the high bar with a 14.300
  • Also placed second on the parallel bars (14.650) and third on the still rings (13.40)
  • Earns his first Big Ten Freshman of the Week award



Eastern College Athletic Conference

Gymnast of the Week
Stephen Lewis – Springfield College
Going up against Illinois, Lewis took third in the all-around competition as he took fourth on the floor, tied for fifth on the vault, and placed sixth on the parallel bars.

Specialist of the Week
Erik Del Cid – Army
Erik Del Cid's 14.600 on vault tops his previous career-best of 14.400 which was set at the 2018 ECAC Championships.

Rookie of the Week
Connor Van Loo – Navy
Van Loo turned in a pair of top-four results for Navy at the All-Academy Championship versus Army and Air Force. He tied for second on the vault with a 14.6 result, while placing fourth on the floor exercise with a 14.0.

Gymnast of the Week
Brandon Briones - Stanford
Stanford freshman Brandon Briones (Gilbert, AZ) compiled the highest all-around score in the nation with an 85.300, as the Cardinal posted a 2020 national-best 420.400 to top No. 5 Ohio State, No. 11 California and the host No. 12 Arizona State (Feb. 8). Briones won the still rings title with a national-best 14.900, placed second on vault (career-best 14.800), third on floor (13.950) and high bar (13.700), and fourth on parallel bars (14.450). This is the third career MPSF weekly award for Briones. Stanford has earned all five weekly awards this year.
