Player of the Week
Ashley Echelberger - Baylor
Echelberger, a senior top from Georgetown, Texas, competed in nine total heats as Baylor topped Oregon in a matchup of the preseason's top two teams last Sunday. She led the Bears to seven heats that scored a 9.70 or higher during the victory, including a 9.95 in the compulsory toss and open pyramid, and a 9.85 in the synch pyramid. She also helped the Bears score a 9.70 in the trio tumbling pass.

Specialist of the Week
Joie Hensley - Baylor
Hensley, a junior top from Castle Pines, Colo., starred in the toss event for Baylor this week. She helped the Bears to a score of 9.80 in the synch toss, before following the heat up with a 9.90 in the open toss. Hensley also performs in tosses during team event for the Bears.

Freshman of the Week
Hannah Alonzo - Azusa Pacific
Alonzo, a base from San Antonio, Texas, competed in 10 total heats for Azusa Pacific as the freshman earned NCATA honors for the second time this season. She helped the Cougars score a 9.50 or higher in seven different heats during the victory over Arizona Christian. A 9.90 in the compulsory toss, and a 9.85 in the five-element acro highlighted her performance.
