  • April 7-9, 2017
    Alexis Cross - Oregon
    Cross excelled in 11 heats during Oregon's 288.080-277.280 win over Azusa Pacific on April 8, aiding Oregon's fifth-highest team total score in program history while helping the Ducks finish the 2017 season undefeated at home. Oregon logged a perfect 10 in the open toss, finishing the contest with four heats scoring 9.90 or above, including the compulsory pyramid (9.90), compulsory toss (9.90) and the pyramid open (9.90). Cross helped Oregon log a 103.75 in the team event, the squad's second highest team score of the year.

    Tosha Banks - King
    Banks helped the Tornado set program records for total points in a meet and team event score. For the first time in program history, King eclipsed the 270-point plateau, scoring 272.395 in a meet against Oregon, over four points better than King's previous high. In the team event, King scored 94.97 points, setting a program record, while Banks helped the Tornado match a program best score in the compulsory acro heat, assisting on a program-high 9.00 in the tumbling trio pass and a synchronized pyramid heat that set a season-best score of 9.75.

    Lauren Sturm - Baylor
    Sturm helped Baylor to a 10.0 in the Compulsory Toss Heat and was involved in four of the Bears' five highest scoring heats that were all scored 9.95 or above. Her performance helped Baylor score a season-high total score for the third straight meet.

    Abby Ziser - Quinnipiac
    Ziser was 6-5 for the week in a pair of victories at Alderson Broaddus and King University. Against AB, Ziser helped Quinnipiac to its first victory of the season after competing in the compulsory event, acro heat (9.35); seven-element acro (9.60); the synchronized and open pyramid heats (9.40, 9.80) and the two-element toss (9.70). Against AB, the heats Ziser competed in averaged a 9.77 while the Bobcats posted a season-best 101.270 in the Team Event. Against King University, Ziser was 4-2, helping Quinnipiac to wins in the compulsory acro (9.50), synchronized pyramid (9.90), the two-element toss (9.85) and the Triple Pass (8.950) while she also was part of the seven-element acro team that posted a 9.65 and the Pyramid Heat 3 that posted a 9.90 and lost to a perfect 10. Against King, Ziser averaged a 9.62.

    Kiara Nowlin - Baylor
    Nowlin played a critical role during a 2-0 week for the Bears, which included a 284.490-248.640 win over Glenville State followed by a 285.010-270.595 win over Fairmont State. The senior and two-time NCATA All-American scored a pair of perfect 10s in the aerial pass to provide an individual spark, totaling nine heats that scored 9.80 or above in the 18 heats she competed in over the twin bill. Nowlin concluded her week by helping the Bears log two team events over 100 points, helping Baylor to a 3-1 record.

  • Feb. 24-26, 2017
    Krista Phillips - Oregon
    Phillips participated in 13 meets for the Ducks in a 285.025-277.900 win over Baylor on Feb. 25. The senior base started the meet by aiding the Ducks to compulsory pyramid and compulsory toss heats that scored 9.90 or above, adding a 9.80 in both the inversion and open pyramid heats. In the open pass, Phillips logged her first perfect-10 of the season to help Oregon capture its first win over Baylor since the 2014-15 season, capped by assisting in a 100.30 Oregon team event total score.

  • Feb. 13-19, 2017
    Taylor Galvin - Oregon
    Galvin propelled Oregon to a pair of wins over the week, competing in 24 total heats in meets against fourth-ranked Hawaii Pacific and third-ranked Quinnipiac. The junior joined a compulsory toss heat that averaged a 9.95 during the two meets, and excelled in the six-element pass, scoring a 9.95 against Hawaii Pacific before posting a 10 against Quinnipiac. Galvin concluded her stellar week by participating in two team events that scored above 100 points, anchoring the Ducks to an unblemished, 2-0 mark during their first week of competition.

  • Feb. 6-12, 2017
    Lauren Sturm - Baylor
    Sturm was a key component of the Bears' 281.110-272.700 win over Quinnipiac on Sunday, Feb. 12, participating in 11 total heats. The junior participated in the highest-scoring heat of each event, helped the squad capture six heat victories, and was a member of the Bears' compulsory toss heat, the only perfect, 10.0 score recorded this season by any team.

  • Feb. 3-5, 2017
    Michaela Soper - Gannon
    Soper helped lead the Golden Knights to season-opening wins against Glenville State and Adrian on Saturday, Feb. 4. Participating in eight victorious heats, the junior sparked Gannon to a 38.30 event score in compulsory, anchored by a 9.95 in the compulsory toss heat. In total, Gannon posted five heats scoring 9.75 or higher, finishing the afternoon with a 93.73 in the team event to score 270.705 total points.
