Darkness to Light - Stewards of Children is the only nationally available program scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors. This revolutionary program is for any responsible adult who cares about the welfare of children. It is also appropriate for youth-serving organizations (sports leagues, day care centers, after school programs, children's clubs, church groups and more). Recognizing and Responding is a child abuse prevention training that is offered from Darkness to Light, a child advocacy organization.
U302 Recognizing and Responding to Abuse
This course will teach you about the various forms of child abuse, indicators of abuse, and about how to effectively report abuse. You will also learn about mandated reporters and their important role in protecting children. This course provides State specific information on Reporting Laws. This course is recommended as one of your electives within the USA Gymnastics University.
The course is a combination of videos, tests, and audio. There are short quizzes throughout this course which must be passed with 80% or better score.
The course will take approximately 1 hour to complete.
