Kathleen just missed edging two-time Olympian Shannon Miller for the gold medal in the all-around at the 1997 World University Games in Catania, ITA, where she also earned a silver in team and a bronze on the uneven bars. She is enrolled at the University of Georgia, where she is working toward a degree in sports medicine/physical therapy. She maintained an A average in an honors program at Glenelg High School, where science was her favorite class. Her older brother, Aaron, competed in soccer and track in high school. She also has participated in softball and soccer.
