St. Pierre starred as the Principal Gray Gorilla "Popeye" in the movie Congo, Paramount Pictures 1995 summer smash box office release. He trained six months with Gorilla Choreographer Peter Elliott before the cameras rolled. St. Pierre is known for his unique skill on still rings. He performs an unusual strength move called the "Olympic Cross" -- a traditional cross with a quarter turn to the left, facing one ring. He appeared in three commercials and is taking film classes as an extension student at UCLA. St. Pierre was on the television show "Trouble with Larry," but it was canceled so he went back to gymnastics training in Sept. 1993.
