2018 Acrobatic World Team Trials
February 1-4, 2018
National Team Training Center (NTTC) - Huntsville, Texas


World Team Trials is an event in which athletes from around the country are encouraged to participate for a chance to be selected onto the World Age Group Competition or World Championships Team. This is an extremely prestigious opportunity for athletes from around the country to represent Team USA at one of the highest caliber competitions in the world.

ATHLETE REQUIREMENTS:
All pair/groups competing on the International Track in the categories listed below are invited to attend this selection event, pursuant that each athlete the exact FIG ages for the level in which they are competing:
  • Age Group 11-16 (No younger than 11 years old by Dec. 2018 & no older than 16 years old by Dec. 2018)
  • Junior 12-18 (No younger than 12 years old by Dec. 2018 & no older than 18 years old by Dec. 2018)
  • Junior 13-19 (No younger than 13 years old by Dec. 2018 & no older than 19 years old by Dec. 2018)
  • Senior (No younger than 15 years old by Dec. 2018

    *participants attending will be booked into the NTTC Lodging
    **If lodging is not available at the NTTC, bookings may be offered at a local hotel at a discounted rate
    ***NO Junior Olympic (JO) Level competitors are permitted to attend this selection event
SCHEDULE (tentative):
    Day 1: Feb 1
    Arrivals of attendees to the NTTC must be before 5:00pm (arrivals into Houston airports are expected by 3:00pm)
    Open Training will be offered at 6:00pm

    Day 2: Feb 2
    Day one of competition
    Balance and Dynamic routines will be performed
    • Per FIG Rules, FIG Code of Points, and Tables of difficulty
    Day 3: Feb 3
    Day two of competition
    Combined and/or Finals routines will be performed
    • Per FIG Rules, FIG Code of Points, and Tables of difficulty
    Day 4: Feb 4
    Mandatory Athlete/Coach meeting at 9:00am (ALL athlete and coaches must attend)
    Departures should be made at 3:00pm (12:00pm departure from NTTC)
      *Team Announcements: communicated during the mandatory meeting, an email and press release will follow announcement
SELECTION PROCEDURES:
For athletes to be considered for the WAGC and WCH Team, Selection Procedures must be signed (by all necessary parties) and submitted to; Amy White, awhite@usagym.org

ACCOMMODATIONS/REGISTRATION:
  • Cost (per person):
      Total Cost (athlete): $450.00
      (covers: entry fee, rooming fee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, & event fees)

      Total Cost (coach): $320.00
      (covers: rooming fee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, & event fees)
      • All fees include; lodging, meals, and competition/meet fees. Dinner will be provided on date of arrival, meals will be provided throughout the event, and breakfast and a sack lunch will be provided on day of departure
  • Registration will be posted on the ‘Acrobatic Events’ section of the USA Gymnastics website
  • Refund Policy
    • Full Refund – if medical documents are provided
    • Partial Refund ($50 Admin Fee) – Canceled before December 27, 2017
    • No Refund – Cancellations on/after December 28, 2017
TRANSPORTATION:
Athletes and coaches are responsible for flights and transportation to and from the NTTC
  • George Bush Intercontinental Airport – IAH is recommended (75 minutes from NTTC)
  • William P. Hobby – HOU (100 minutes from NTTC)

    *Total cost will be communicated once flights/travel is booked (cost varies based upon booking time, city, etc.) **WCH (Senior) Team are funded
FIG Licenses:
    All athletes submitting Selection Procedures for both WAGC and WCH Teams must have a current FIG License (through 2018)

Event Attire:
    All pair/groups and coaches are representing their respective clubs at the World Team Trials event.
    *NO previous and/or current National Team apparel is to be worn throughout the entire event
    ** All dress codes for athletes and coaches outlined in the Acrobatic R&P will be enforced throughout the entire event
