2012 Acro Cup and Training Camp
February 6-12, 2012 * National Team Training Center (Karolyi's), Huntsville, Texas

The 2012 Acro Cup will serve as a selection for the 2012 World Championships, World Age Group Competition, Senior and Junior National Teams, 11-16 Age Group National Team, Team A (Out of age 11-16, 12-19 and Sr. Elites), 2012 international assignments for TEAM USA as well as approval for international club competitions. Pair/groups wishing to be considered for international assignments must compete at the 2012 Acro Cup. Competition will take place for senior elite, junior elite, and 11-16 age group and only those pair/groups meeting FIG age requirements are eligible for international assignments as part of TEAM USA. Team A athletes (out of age) must meet expanded ages and will only be approved to attend international competitions designated as club competitions.

Restrictions: Acro Cup 2012 is not open to for pair/groups to compete Levels 8, 9 or 10. For any fall international competitions placed on the competitive calendar, selections would be made at JO National Championships 2012.

Please note: The training camp will be divided into two groups and train separately. The World Championship and WAGC athletes will be placed in one group (Gold Team); all other athletes will train in the second group (Silver Team). In order for the camp to run smoothly and for the athletes and coaches to receive the best training experience, each group of athletes should have a personal coach present.

Registration for the 2012 Acro Cup and Training Camp is available online beginning January 4. An online registration link will be available after that time.

Entry Deadline Online entries and Registration Payment Form must be completed and payment must be postmarked by the registration deadline of: January 11, 2012.
  • Arrival date of Monday, February 6 is optional. Open training and skills testing are offered on February 6 and 7, with competition beginning on February 8. If you plan to arrive after Monday, February 6, you will need to make your own arrangements for ground transportation.
  • Training camp is optional for those athletes not wishing to be selected for Worlds. This portion of the camp will be a valuable training opportunity for those athletes who choose to attend. The pair/groups and their personal coaches will train under the direction of Ivaylo Katsov.
Scratches / Refund Requests The refund deadline is Monday, January 30, 2012. Family emergencies, illness, or injury are the only acceptable circumstances under which a refund will be given. (Refund/Scratch Request must be in-hand at the National Office by January 30, 2012).

Selection Procedures: In order for athletes to be considered for National Team/World Championships or WAGC, Selection Procedures must be turned in by the registration deadline of January 11, 2012. Athletes being considered for WAGC must submit payment information for a $1,000.00 deposit for WAGC flights/meals/accommodations. WAGC Deposit Form
Tariff Sheets Acro Cup Tariff Sheet Submission Deadline: January 23, 2012. Website: http://www.acrousa.com

The deadline to turn in revised tariff sheets is January 30, 2012. ONLY THE REVISED TARIFF SHEET CHANGE FORM IS TO BE SUBMITTED! Include the pair/group's entry number on all revised tariff sheets. Tariff Sheet and Revised Tariff Sheet Deadlines will be strictly enforced by the Meet Referee per the Acrobatic Gymnastics Specifications.

Music Policy Acro Cup
    All clubs must bring 1 CD with ALL of their athlete's music to the event. The CD should have each routine for each pair/group competing at Acro Cup. In addition to the CD, the coach should label in what order the routines are on the CD by each pair/group's ID number and routine (i.e. Level 10 WG #165 Balance).
World Championships and WAGC
    Music for World Championships and WAGC will be downloaded to the FIG as part of the Nominative Entry. Every group submitting Selection Procedures for W.C. or WAGC submit their music on a MP3 file (max 10 GB) (with a bit rate of 128 or above), per pair/group. Music files need to be submitted via email to mobaka@usagym.org by the registration deadline of January 11.
FIG Licenses For all athletes submitting Selection Procedures for World Championships or World Age Group Competition, please complete the FIG License Application, and return via email to mobaka@usagym.org by the registration deadline date of January 11, along with a color scanned copy of their passport and a headshot. Be certain that the forms are complete with the signature of athlete and parent or guardian if a minor.
