2008 Olympic-medalists Bridget Sloan, Jonathan Horton and Alicia Sacramone joined 1984 Olympic gold-medalist Tim Daggett in Hartford, Conn., at the XL Center on June 10 to promote the 2010 Visa Championships. The Olympians were on hand for a USA Gymnastics press briefing where they announced the on-sale of single-session tickets, a celebration to recognize the 1980 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team, the Championships Challenge, and local sponsors. Following the announcements, the Olympians conducted a gymnastics clinic for Hartford-area youth.
In August, the 2008 Olympians will return to Hartford to compete in the 2010 Visa Championships. Sloan and Horton will look to defend their U.S. titles, and Sacramone will mark her comeback to the sport after two years away from competition.
