COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 16, 2016 – The University of Oklahoma won its second-straight team title at the 2016 NCAA National Championships for men’s gymnastics at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Oklahoma’s Yul Moldauer, who is a member of the U.S. Men’s National Team, won the all-around title.

Oklahoma posted a 443.400 to win the team title. Stanford University was second at 434.050, finishing just ahead of Ohio State University’s 433.050. The University of Illinois was fourth (432.750), followed by Pennsylvania State University (425.400) and the University of Minnesota (424.400).

Moldauer tallied an 89.100 to capture the all-around crown. Stanford’s Akash Modi, who is also a member of the U.S. Men’s National Team, and Oklahoma’s Kanji Oyama tied for second at 88.500. Oklahoma’s Allan Bower (fourth, 88.100) and Ohio State’s Alec Yoder (fifth, 88.050) rounded at the top five.

The individual event champions were: floor exercise – Colin Van Wicklen, Oklahoma; pommel horse – Brandon Ngai, Illinois; still rings – Dennis Zaremski, Stanford; vault – Anthony McCallum, University of Michigan; parallel bars and horizontal bar – Modi.

This was the first time all of the finals were held in the same session.
