The November Developmental Team camp concluded at USA Gymnastics National Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, a U.S. Olympic Training site under the direction of Valeri Liukin, Developmental Team Coordinator. Forty athletes and their coaches attended the five day training camp. The camp begins with physical abilities with the top three athletes being Deanne Soza, Arete Gymnastics; Gabrielle Perea of Legacy Elite and Jax Kranitz, Colorado Aerials Gymnastics Center.
Most improved camper was Mailie O’Keefe from Salcianu Academy of Gymnastics coached by Sorin and Tammy Salcianu.
The coaches attended lectures after each training session. The coaches worked diligently with the National Coaching staff on skill selection and routine construction for the upcoming Elite competition season. These gymnasts will return to the ranch in January 2014.
