PHOENIX (August 8, 2026) – Elijah Connor (Bradenton, Fla./EVO Gymnastics) dominated 16-year-old competition and London Norris (Knoxville, Tenn./GymTek Academy) turned in a strong Day 2 performance to win the 17 crown during junior men’s action Saturday at the Xfinity U.S. Championships in Phoenix.

Norris rallies for 17 gold

After trailing Day 1 leader Hunter Egan (Waller, Texas/Cypress Academy of Gymnastics) by less than a point on Thursday, Norris cruised to the U.S. junior 17 all-around title Saturday at Mortgage Matchup Center. The champion earned his title with an overall 154.264 and picked up four additional U.S medals along the way, including titles on still rings (27.511) and parallel bars (27.376). Norris also won silver on pommel horse (25.612) and bronze on vault (28.062).

Egan won all-around silver with a 152.398, completing his medal trifecta with floor exercise gold (29.118) and bronze on pommel horse (25.436). The all-around bronze medalist in the 17-year-old division was Jake Wazolek (New Windsor, N.Y./EVO Gymnastics) with a 147.180.

Additional apparatus titlists included Keegan Shemluck (Bradenton, Fla./EVO Gymnastics) on horizontal bar (25.116), Jackson Wilson (Columbus, Ohio/Integrity Athletics) on vault (28.362), and Hayden Brown (Corona Del Mar, Calif./SCATS Gymnastics) on pommel horse (27.722).

Connor dominates 16-year-old field

Connor continued to dominate his division during Saturday’s competition after taking the top spot on Thursday. The 16-year-old won the junior title more than six points ahead of the second-place finisher, posting a two-day total of 162.454. Connor also medaled on five of six apparatus, winning titles on high bar (28.622) and still rings (26.022), silver medals on vault (28.612) and parallel bars (27.526), and a bronze medal on floor (27.322). He rounded out his six-event score with a 24.350 on pommel horse, which was the fifth highest in his age group.

William Rebar (Simi Valley, Calif./Coach Patty’s Gymnastics) was the silver medalist in the all-around with a 155.832, also taking the floor title with a 27.376. Bo McCrea (Chicago, Ill./Lakeshore Academy of Mt. Prospect) rounded out the all-around podium with a 154.684 and won gold medals on both vault (28.812) and parallel bars (28.068). Winning the final apparatus title was Dominic Camarena (Pearland, Texas/Houston Gymnastics Academy) on pommel horse with a 25.883.
