1984 Olympic gold medalist Tim Daggett emceed the USA Gymnastics halftime performances, which featured U.S. national team members from trampoline and acro, on March 8 during the semi-final basketball games at the 2010 Women’s Big East Championships in Hartford, Conn., host of the 2010 Visa Championships. The event marked tickets going on sale for the rhythmic and and trampoline/tumbling competitions at the 2010 Visa Championships.
2009 U.S. champions and brothers Steven and Jeffery Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J., put on a spectacular show of trampoline during halftime of the first game, where the University of Connecticut claimed the longest winning streak in NCAA Division 1 women’s basketball (71). Joined by local gymnastics club Wininger’s, 2009 U.S. mixed pair champions Sienna Martinez of Riverside, Calif., and Ryan Ward of Corona, Calif., treated audiences to the incredible balancing moves of acrobatic gymnastics during the second halftime. Daggett, NBC commentator and local chair of the 2010 Visa Championships, was the emcee for both performances.
Rhythmic gymnastics, as well as trampoline and tumbling competitions at the 2010 Visa Championships will be held Aug. 10-14 at the University of Hartford’s Chase Arena. Tickets are on sale now through all Ticketmaster outlets. Visa is the only card accepted at the 2010 Visa Championships.
