The NAIGC (National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs), with support from TheGymNC, concluded their National Championships on April 9th, 2011 in Richmond, Virginia. Over 750 competitors, representing 65 clubs from across the country participated in this year’s 23rd annual National Championships.

Eli Richardson, a junior from Texas A&M University won the all-around for the third year in a row with a score of 87.4. Adickxon Trejo (NAIGC Alumni), competing in his first NAIGC nationals took second place all around. The third place all around finisher was Jake Shapiro from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In the women’s competition, Julia Zimmerman (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) took first place all around with a 38.15, beating out second place Lauren Smith (Texas Tech University) by one tenth. Lindsay Diamond from University of Rhode Island rounded out the top three.

In the team competitions, Texas A&M University men and Massachusetts Institute of Technology women took first place.
