LJUBJANA, Slovenia, April 27, 2013 – On the first day of event finals at the Ljubjana World Cup in Ljubjana, Slovenia, 2012 Olympic alternate Alex Naddour of Gilbert, Ariz./USA Youth Fitness, won a silver and two bronze medals. Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y./U.S. Gymnastics Development Center II, will compete in vault and horizontal bar on the final day of the World Cup on Sunday, April 28.

In the floor exercise final, Naddour took home the silver medal, scoring a 15.075, just behind Greece’s Eleftherios Kosmidis, who won gold with a 15.125. Scott Morgan from Canada won the bronze with a 15.050. Ruggeri finished seventh, scoring 14.575.

For the pommel horse, Naddour posted a 15.050, claiming the bronze medal. Slovenia’s Saso Bertoncelj won the gold with a 15.475, and Zoltan Kallai from Hungary scored a 15.300 to take home the silver.

On still rings, Naddour won his second bronze medal, posting a 14.650. Eleftherios Petrounias from Greece won the gold, scoring a 15.650. Finland’s Markku Vahtila had a 14.725 to win the silver medal.
