SOFIA, Bulgaria, April 7, 2022 – Lili Mizuno (Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) will be back in action this weekend, taking on top gymnasts from around the world at the FIG World Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria. After a busy 2021 that saw her compete as a member of the U.S. group at the delayed Tokyo Olympic Games and as an individual two months later at the World Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan, Mizuno kicked off the 2022 international season with a sixth-place all-around finish at last month’s 2022 Grand Prix Marbella in Spain and will look to build on that momentum as she tackles the World Cup circuit.

The individual competition at the Arena Armeets Sports Hall will feature nearly 40 gymnasts from 27 countries and will span three days, starting with hoop and ball on Friday at 4 a.m. ET. The all-around title will be awarded Saturday at the conclusion of the clubs and ribbon sessions, while the top-eight gymnasts on each apparatus will qualify to Sunday’s individual event finals. Mizuno will compete with Group D Saturday at 8:30 a.m. ET and Sunday at 7:10 a.m. ET.

More information is available on the event’s official website.
