MARBELLA, Spain, March 27, 2022 – Lili Mizuno (Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) garnered a competition-high fifth-place showing on hoop and finished in the top seven on all apparatus as the 2022 Grand Prix Marbella concluded Sunday with event finals at the Palacio de los Deportes Elena Benitez in Spain.

Mizuno posted a 27.600 on hoop to claim her highest placement of the weekend. She was previously sixth in the all-around where her performances qualified her to all four apparatus finals. Bulgaria’s Stiliana Nikolova finished in the top spot on hoop with a 32.350 ahead of runner up Maelle Millet (28.450) of France and Australia’s Lidiia Iakovleva (28.200) who was third.

Mizuno’s 27.300 landed her seventh on ball. Spain’s Teresa Gorospe paced the field with a 30.050. Nikolova (28.450) and Canada’s Tatiana Cocsanova (27.850) were second and third.

Nikolova led the way on clubs with a 29.750 followed by teammate Eva Brezalieva in second with a 28.100. Kazakhstan’s Elzhana Taniyeva rounded out the podium with a 27.400, while Mizuno (26.400) finished sixth.

The 2020 Olympian was seventh on ribbon with a 21.900. Brezalieva (29.000), Boryana Kaelyn (27.350), also of Bulgaria, and Cocsanova (26.500) comprised the top three.
