ANADIA, Portugal, May 29, 2014 – Sam Mikulak of Corona del Mar, Calif./University of Michigan, Alex Naddour of Gilbert, Ariz./Team Hilton HHonors (USA Youth Fitness), and Eddie Penev of Penfield, N.Y./Team Hilton HHonors (Stanford University), advanced to individual apparatus finals today, during the first of two days of qualification at the Anadia (Portugal) World Challenge Cup.

Qualification continues tomorrow with competition on the vault, parallel bars and high bar. The first half of the event finals are scheduled for Saturday, and competition concludes on Sunday.

On the floor exercise, Penev, 15.300, and Mikulak, 14.950, advanced to the final in first and fourth place respectively. Naddour tied for the second highest score on the pommel horse, earning a 14.950. He also earned a place in the rings final after scoring 14.800 to finish third in qualification.
