2012 Olympian and reigning U.S. national champion Sam Mikulak of Corona del Mar, Calif./University of Michigan, was named one of ’17 Incredibly Impressive Students At The University Of Michigan’ by Business Insider. Click here to read the article.


The list includes a wide-range of students, including former gymnast Cathy Huang, who created VEX, an on-campus storefront where students can sell goods they make, and Chris O’Neil, who created Vulse, a real-time effects processor for the iPhone.


After competing for Team USA at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where he finished fifth in the vault final, Mikulak had a banner year in 2013. He took all-around titles at the Big Ten, NCAA national championships and P&G Gymnastics Championships. At the World Championships, Mikulak finished sixth in the all-around and fourth on the horizontal bar.


Mikulak’s NCAA season gets underway with reigning NCAA team champions, Michigan, on Jan. 18 at the Windy City Invitational in Chicago.
