Based on performances in the junior division at the 2009 Visa Championships in Dallas, Texas, USA Gymnastics has named several junior athletes to represent the United States in international competition this fall.

Junior Pan American Championships – November 4 – 9, Aracaju, Brazil
Four athletes will comprise the team and one will travel as the alternate, who will be Youth Olympic Games age-eligible. C.J. Maestas of Corrales, N.M./Gold Cup Gymnastics and Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./SCATS HB, are both on the team. Three gymnasts who are age eligible for the Youth Olympic Games will show routines at the Junior Team Camp, Oct. 20-27, where the determination will be made regarding which two gymnasts will compete and who will serve as the traveling athlete: Jesse Glenn of Northridge, Calif./SCATS HB; Jake Martin of Oviedo, Fla./Orlando Metro; and Sean Melton of Orlando/Orlando Metro. Melton was the top-ranked Youth Olympic Games age-eligible Level 9 gymnast.
