KOPER, Slovenia, September 3, 2021 – Riley Loos of El Dorado Hills, Calif./Stanford University has advanced to three event finals at the 2021 Koper (Slovenia) World Challenge Cup. During qualification rounds on Thursday and Friday, Loos finished fifth on floor exercise with a 14.150, eighth on still rings with a 13.550 and fourth on vault with a 14.225 to secure his spot in the finals. Loos also competed on pommel horse (11.150) but was not among the top eight qualifiers.

Apparatus finals for floor and rings will take place Saturday at Arena Bonifika, while the vault final will be decided Sunday. In qualifications, Canada’s William Emard paced the field on floor with a 14.600, while Austria’s Vinzenz Hoeck led the way on rings, also delivering a score of a 14.600. Great Britain’s Courtney Tulloch qualified in the top spot on vault with scores of 14.400 and 14.600 for a combined 14.500. Loos’ individual vaults garnered a 14.150 and 14.300, respectively.
