2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin returned to her hometown in Dallas to promote the 2015 AT&T American Cup (March 7, 10:30 a.m.) and Nastia Liukin Cup (March 6 at 7 p.m.) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In addition to several media interviews, she visited three local gymnastics clubs and will attend the WOGA Classic this weekend, which is one of the invitationals in the Nastia Liukin Cup Series. Liukin spoke with gymnasts at Golden Grip Gymnastics, Eagles Gymnastics Academy and ASI – Plano West about the two upcoming events, her gymnastics career, and answered questions. She also posed for photos at each club.

The 2015 AT&T American Cup, a FIG World Cup event, is one of the most prestigious international invitational events and features an all-around format and slated for March 7. The U.S. athletes scheduled to compete in Arlington are two-time World all-around champion Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre; 2014 AT&T American Cup champion and World team bronze-medalist Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./Team Hilton HHonors (University of Michigan); 2014 World team gold-medalist MyKayla Skinner of Gilbert, Ariz./Desert Lights Gymnastics; and 2014 World team bronze-medalist Donnell Whittenburg of Baltimore, Md./Team Hilton HHonors (U.S. Olympic Training Center).The complete field of the AT&T American Cup is available at ATTAmericanCup.com. The Nastia Liukin Cup, which showcases many of the country’s top Junior Olympic female gymnasts, also will be held at AT&T Stadium on March 6, 2015, in conjunction with the AT&T American Cup. The Nastia Liukin Cup is named after Liukin, who has five Olympic and nine World medals to her credit. The Nastia Liukin Cup Series, which determines the gymnasts who will compete in Dallas, wraps up this weekend.. Past sites for the Nastia Liukin Cup are Worcester, Mass. Fans are encouraged to come early to both events to take advantage of the fun activities planned for the AT&T Platform inside AT&T Stadium, including the AT&T Fan Cam Experience and Kellogg’s Fitness and Nutrition Zone. John Macready, a member of the 1996 Olympic Team and the fan engagement host for USA Gymnastics premier events, will interview past champions, interact with attendees and highlight some of the morning’s fun at the AT&T Platform.
