DOHA, Qatar, March 25, 2015 – Danell Leyva of Miami/Team Hilton HHonors (Universal Gymnastics), and Jake Dalton of Reno, Nev./Team Hilton HHonors (University of Oklahoma) advanced to the finals of the Doha World Cup. Qualifications for the finals were held today at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar.

Dalton qualified for the floor exercise finals, with Leyva competing in the finals for both parallel bars and horizontal bar. The finals for men’s floor exercise, pommel horse and still rings will be held tomorrow. Competition wraps up on Friday with finals in men’s vault, parallel bars and high bar.

Leyva scored a 15.250 on the high bar to advance to the final as the top qualifier. He also earned a 15.300 on the parallel bars, which gave him fourth place and finals berth.

On the floor exercise, Dalton was the second highest qualifier after posting a 15.350 behind Brazil’s Diego Hypolito (15.400). Dalton finished 10th on still rings (14.450), vault (14.350) and parallel bars (14.450). He is the second reserve athlete for all three finals.
