OSIJEK, Croatia, April 30, 2016 – 2015 World team member Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y./Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center), and 2013 World floor exercise silver medalist Steven Legendre of Port Jefferson, N.Y./Team Hilton (University of Oklahoma), shared the bronze medal on floor exercise today at the Osijek World Challenge Cup in Osijek, Croatia.

Competition in Croatia concludes tomorrow with the men’s vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar finals.

Ruggeri and Legendre recorded matching 14.875 scores in the floor final to share the bronze medal. Germany’s Matthais Fahrig took the top spot, scoring 15.050, followed by Israel’s Alexander Shatilov at 14.975.

The USA’s Sean Melton of Orlando/Ohio State University and Legendre also participated in today’s still ring’s final. Melton scored a 14.640 for seventh place, while Legendre’s 14.525 was eighth in the final.
