Legendre added to U.S. Men’s Senior National Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Oct. 3, 2008 — Steven Legendre of Flower Mound, Texas/University of Oklahoma, was added to the U.S. Men’s Senior National Team. The current men’s senior national team was determined based on finishes at the 2008 Visa Championships.

Legendre is the 2008 U.S. floor exercise champion. At the 2008 NCAA Championships, he won the floor exercise and vault to become the first freshman in Oklahoma history to win two NCAA event titles. After finishing third on vault at the 2007 Visa Championships, Legendre was a member of the 2007-08 U.S. Men’s Junior National Team. He won gold medals in the team competition and all-around at the 2007 Junior Pan American Championships. He finished first on vault and second on parallel bars in the junior division at the 2006 Visa Championships.
