Madison Kocian of WOGA, Jordan Chiles of Naydenov and Ariana Agrapides of MG Elite won the senior, junior (session 1), and junior (session 2) all-around titles, respectively, today at the American Classic held at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Site.

In the senior competition, Kocian picked up the vault and uneven bars wins, scoring 14.950 and 14.100, respectively. She also posted scores of 13.250, balance beam, and 12.900, floor exercise, for an all-around score of 55.200. Kocian’s score qualifies her to the P&G Gymnastics Championships, scheduled for Aug. 15-18 in Hartford, Conn. Ariana Guerra of Texas Dreams won the floor title with a 13.450, while Grace McLaughlin of WOGA took the balance beam gold with a 13.350.

In the junior division, Chiles posted scores of 15.000, vault, 13.250, uneven bars, 13.700, balance beam, 12.800, floor, for a 54.750 in the all-around. WOGA’s Alyssa Baumann, 53.650, and Ashley Foss of North Stars, 53.300, finished second and third, respectively. Chiles won the vault title with Foss claiming the beam (13.750) and floor (13.900) gold medals. Samantha Ogden of WOGA picked up the bars title, scoring 13.550. In addition to Chiles, Baumann, Foss and Ogden, Megan Skaggs of Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta, Molly Flack of Parkettes and Abby Paulson of Twin City Twisters also advanced to the P&G Gymnastics Championships.

In the second session of junior competition, Agrapides posted a 56.250 to take the all-around title.  Her scores in today’s competition were 14.900, vault, 13.550, bars, 13.900, beam, and 13.900, floor. Agrapides was followed by Laurie Hernandez, who also trains at MG Elite, 55.900, and Felica Hano of West Coast Elite, 54.500.  The event winners in session two were: Hano, vault; Agrapides, bars; Deanne Soza of Arete, beam; and Hernadez, floor. 

In addition to the top three in the all-around, Emily Gaskins of Cincinnati Gymnastics, Grace Waguespack of Ace Gymnastics, Soza, Lauren Navarro of Charter Oak, Bridget Dean of Orlando Metro, Melissa Reinstadtler of Rebound, Lauren Farely of WOGA, Alexandra Marks of Bart Conner Gymnastics, and Lexy Ramler of Kidsport, earned berths to the 2013 P&G Gymnastics Championships.
