DOHA, Qatar, March 24, 2018 – Marvin Kimble of Milwaukee/Salto Gymnastics, won the horizontal bar silver medal today at the Doha (Qatar) World Cup. Held at the Aspire Academy Dome, the event is part of the International Gymnastics Federation’s individual event World Cup series.

The Olympic Channel will carry same-day delayed coverage of the event today at 5 p.m. ET.

Kimble finished with the silver in the high bar final, having earned a 14.533. Kimble’s score was 0.900 higher than his mark in qualifying. World high bar champion Tin Srbic of Croatia took the gold with a 14.800. China’s Deng Shudi was the bronze medalist, having posted a 14.500. Alec Yoder of Indianapolis/Ohio State University, earned a 13.600 to finish fifth in the final.

In the parallel bars final, Marvin Kimble of Milwaukee/Salto Gymnastics, scored 14.466 to finish seventh. China went one-two with Zou Jingyuan and Xiao Ruoteng earning scores of 16.200 and 15.233, respectively. Turkey’s Ferhat Arican was third with a 15.166.

Ukraine’s Igor Radivilov won the vault gold medal, scoring 14.599. Qu Ruiyang of China was just behind in second with a 14.566. Arican claimed bronze at 14.533.

Yesterday, Yoder earned the bronze medal in the pommel horse final.
